  My good friend Mark Flanders will display his latest artworks featuring photography on dried leaves at my studio in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. Also on hand will be many examples of his earlier photographic works such as polaroid transfers, salt prints, and other experimental and creative uses of the medium.

Mark and I went to art school together in Wisconsin in the '80s. After graduating, we both headed to the West Coast: Mark to LA and me to Seattle. I've been following and admiring his output over the last 25 years, and have long wanted to introduce it to my friends and colleagues here in the Northwest. When I saw his latest body of work the time seemed right to get him up here with a suitcase full of his work, put a fresh coat of white paint on the studio wall, and host an open studio/exhibition/sale event where you can meet Mark and see his amazing work. Don't miss it!
